Day 1 in el Salvador---we treated 300-350 people
today---really about the same stuff as we see In our eds---
I thought I did a
credible job until the medical studs in our group broke the news to me that I
missed several cases of dengue fever (give me a break, although they might be
right)…
Anyway, sitting here with a great group of “brigaders”—age range from
9yo to late 70s..the only real problem on this trip is that we cant travel
freely due to the level of crime/murder etc..also the insects//amphibians//rodents(?)
are all over the place, not to mention
the skinny/sickly chickens, dogs and cows…
It was Erin’s birthday yesterday she
and her posse were just chastised for being overly loud and unruly last
evening..
Who would of thunk?
