Jay Says...

So today I had the opportunity to administer care to the “El Savadoran” population.

It was interesting to see the similarities in patient complaints.  I found that most people just needed to talk to someone and suffered only from minor complaints.

Despite my limitations in available medical therapies and supplies the people were both grateful and appreciative of the time that I spent with them.

Communication was difficult at times.  Developing full sentences was challenging but most communications were accomplished with using simple verbs and nouns.

The young group of “Brigaders,” were extremely helpful with both translation and entertaining the people.

I only wish that I had more to offer some of the patients that presented today but was impressed by the overall good health of the pediatric patients despite their limitations and limited resources.
