Sheldon Says...

Being able to provide basic medical care to a population of patients that were so grateful for a simple well child exam was a refreshing change from the entitled population I see daily.

While the clinical setting was less than ideal, we managed to create an environment where the locals felt that they were cared for.

I was impressed that we were able to provide care for some 350 plus patients with what little supplies we had and did it with not a single complaint from patients.... even those who stood in line for several minutes to receive needed medications.

The ER doctor in me hoped that a fracture, laceration or a delivery (yea I said it!), would show up but at the end of day one there was no such luck.

I am very impressed with the facilities where we are staying.  I certainly didn’t expect wii fi, hot water and many of the other amenities that we are afforded.  And yes the food is par.
